We seek excellence in every aspect of manufacturing and are committed to minimizing the environmental impacts of our business operations.
Flexfab adopted a three-pronged approach to its environmental initiatives:
We ensure that all processes and actions made, regardless of whether in the manufacturing process or marketing of our products, significantly reduces or eliminates environmental impacts.
We incorporate renewable and recycled materials, such as steel content and recycled cardboard.
Flexfab manufactures with longevity in mind, by using recyclable components that make our products easy to disassemble and repair or recycle at the end of their life cycle.
We ensure that all processes and actions significantly reduce or eliminate environmental impacts.
Our shipping and packaging department uses a minimal amount of cardboard. Flexfab uses recycled cardboard and whenever possible shrink wrap all the materials while ensuring that the products are safely protected when in transit to our customers. Flexfab is committed to maintaining this friendly environment objective combined with the ability to supply only high quality products. Flexfab’s permanent priority is a continuous commitment to improvement for a safer environment with high quality products.
Flexfab is committed to minimizing the environmental impacts of our business.
Our steel suppliers use 58% total recycled steel content. This includes post-consumer content of 20% and pre-consumer content of 25% with the balance of home scrap. Our company uses chemicals and raw materials that can be recycled in all our manufacturing processes. All steel scraps are collected and shipped to a metal recycling facility.
Flexfab uses powder coat paint which is durable and non-off gassing.
We use low V.O.C. (Volatile Organic Compound) paints to reduce air pollution, thus releasing negligible and the lowest emissions of V.O.C. as is possible. Our paint suppliers are selected according to the strictest criteria and based on their commitment to meeting our friendly environmental practices.
In addition, powder coating overspray that does not adhere to the product is recyclable and collected for treatment, virtually eliminating the waste commonly found in liquid finishing processes. As a result, costly pollution control equipment is no longer necessary.
Our commitment to our children, to you, and for the community is to be responsible and take part in preserving and protecting our environment. Flexfab’s commitment is to maintain our environmentally friendly objective combined with the ability to supply only high quality products that exceed the environmental standard. Flexfab permanent priority is a commitment to improvement for an environmentally safer workplace.
99% of the materials used to manufacture our products are recyclable and can be reused when the product reaches the end of its life cycle.
This statement represents our general position on environmental issues and the policies and practices we will apply in conducting our business.
Flexfab’s High density filing and storage systems can help your project earn a LEED rating by maximizing space efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts. Flexfab is committed to playing its part in preserving clean air by reducing air emissions to the lowest possible levels. Low Emitting Furniture – Credit 7.6
The applicant shall receive one point if furniture emissions concentrations or factors meet the following criteria as defined in ANSI/BIFMA X7.1-2007
Construction Waste Management – MR Credit 2.1 & 2.2
Intent: Reduce the amount of packing material delivered to the site.
Recycled Content – MR Credit 4.1 & 4.2
Intent: Value of Recycled Content (Postconsumer + 1/2 Preconsumer) A typical Flexfab cabinet consists of approximately 58% recycled content. This breaks down into 25% preconsumer, 20% post-consumer recycled content, with the balance comprised of home scrap (generated scrap from steel suppliers processing operations).
Manufactured Regionally – MR Credit 5.1
Intent: Furniture manufactured within 804-km radius of the jobsite.
Extracted and Manufactured Regionally – MR Credit 5.2
Intent: Furniture extracted, harvested, recovered, or manufactured within 804-km radius of the jobsite.

All our products are 98.5% recycable.
Begin with seeking to use renewable materials and processes whenever possible. These materials and processes are the foundation of our product lines and meet the needs of our clients and the environment. By using renewable natural materials, integrating recycled materials into our processes when possible and manufacturing strong products built to last, Flexfab supports our dual mission to serve our clients’ needs while improving the environment.
Our High Density Storage systems have a direct impact on our environment by saving space, reducing operating costs, an improved sustainable workplace environment and increased employee satisfaction. Flexfab products are built to last. They are developed to be environmentally neutral in their intended use and rigorously ANSI BIFMA tested to ensure that they surpass industry durability standards.
We build products that will have a long, useful life span; they are not designed to be replaced multiple times. All of our products are 98.5% recyclable.
